Xenyx QX1002USB
This is a nice small mixer. Despite very small, it offers
- 10 inputs
- 2 x microphone , with XLR+line connectors, 48V phantom power, equalizer, pan, low frequency cut switch, clipping indicators
- 8x line in
- several output connectors
- main out connectors L/R
- Control (“CRTL”) room output
- phones connector
- FX send connector
- Additional 2-Track In and 2-Track out cinch connectors
- FX with 100 effects
- USB interface, routable to Control room output or/and main mix
- main mix slider, LEDs for -20,0,+8dB for L+R

from PC is routed to Control Room output, and nowhere else.
The USB output signal is in parallel to main mix.
Xenyx QX1002USB power connector replacement
The original power connector+cable combination is poor. It can happen that it unplugs itself.
In Internet, you can find videos etc. that help to replace the connector with a better one.
I did this and added some images of the process below.
After removing all knobs, some screws, the PCB can be removed from the
housing:

The poor connector that has to be desoldered:
Connector desoldered, replaced with three cables that are connected to the
new plug:
The new connector, also 3 pins, which allows to screw the male onto
the female part, this given a much more stable connection:
Outside view of new connector. The existing old hole for connector
can be reused as it is. Only the original ring made from plastics
needs to be removed.
After the replacement, the issue is 100% solved.
