Die immer komplexere Rechtslage, durch EU-Recht, deutsches Recht und sonstige Staaten geschaffen, machen das Betreiben einer privaten Website, auch mit völlig harmlosen Hobby-Inhalten ("mostly harmless" [1]), immer riskanter. Ich habe auch keine Lust, die zukünftigen Gewinne irgendwelcher KIs zu generieren.

Daher habe ich mich im Oktober 2025 entschlossen, alle öffentliche Inhalte meiner Website offline zu nehmen. Dies sind rund 500 Artikel mit etwa 4500 Fotos und Grafiken/Diagramme, über einen Zeitraum von 30 Jahren veröffentlicht. Einige Dateien (generierte Indexdateien etc.) bleiben bis auf Weiteres noch verfügbar.

Over the last years, there is an increasing complexity of legal situation for websites, coming from EU laws, german laws, and activities of other countries. This makes the run of even a hobby website with “mostly harmless”[1] content more and more risky. Furthermore, I do not like to be a source of future earnings of some AI companies.

So I’ve decided to remove all public content from my website. These were about 500 posts with about 4500 images and figures, been created during last 30 years. A few files (generated index files etc.) will continue to stay for some time.
